My name is Jack Frey and I am currently a senior Interactive Multimedia major at The College of New Jersey. I also have a minor in Technological Studies. My interests include physical computing, the Internet of Things, digital fabrication, web/mobile development, and game development. I love experimenting with new forms of technology and consider myself to be a fast learner. I am always looking for new projects and work experience.
Thesis Project: Escape Room
Hundreds of patients were quarantined at a hospital with a mysterious virus. Unfortunately, due to a quarantine breach, the disease has spread into mainstream society and is causing thousands of deaths per day. You are an agent on a hazmat team that must go into the now abandoned hospital and retrieve blood samples to be analyzed for a cure. Will you be able to help save mankind? Will you even survive?
Hospital Escape is an interactive escape room experience that involves physical computing puzzles, wearable technology, and a custom mobile app. Hospital Escape is designed for five players per experience.
The puzzles in the escape room will mainly use Particle Photons. The custom web app will be built using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Firebase, and p5.js. It will also feature a basic web server made with Node.js, ParticleJS, and the Firebase Admin SDK that will be run off of a Raspberry Pi.
