Hi there! My name is Danny, and I make games. Being a double major in IMM and Psychology, much of my work is focused on exploring how we perceive and communicate information. I try to employ lessons from cognitive psychology and neuroscience into my games to enhance the challenge, meaning, and (hopefully) fun of the experience.
Thesis Project: Teamwork Simulator 2017
As part of a company directive to get its employees to work together, Synertech Incorporated has implemented the cutting edge in training software- the Teamwork Simulator. One worker operates a turret in a VR space environment, shooting down waves of asteroids and enemy drones coming from all directions. “But how do I know where to look?” you ask. Great question, you inquisitive go-getter! Your team-mate has that information at their fingertips- all the two of you have to do is communicate. Perform well and rise to the tippy-top of lower-middle-management. Fail and be exiled to a life of shared cubicles and not having your own parking space.
