Little life is a project which I could not even have conceived having pursued at the start of my senior year of college. I started off my senior thesis hoping to do something less digital, but gradually moved my focus to what the project has become today. Ultimately this shift has taught me a lot about the way technology helps us achieve our goals and make our dreams a reality. Little life is a visual installation made of pixel art. The idea of the pixel continues an original miniature theme I had for the project at its conception many months ago. Focusing on themes such as nature, mystery, magic, and different viewpoints, Little Life allows the viewer to experience pixel systems in the form of Gifs acting and interacting together to form one whole cohesive world. Although one specific story is not intended to be followed with this piece, I do like to think that the various images are set in the same sleepy town by the Sea and maintain this as their story. Allow the images presented to lull you to a place of your child hood, not so far away from the imagination, with a backdrop of ocean air.
