Critical Response Group is looking for part-time Cartographers to create cutting-edge visual planning and communication tools for first responders.
The CRG team applies the lessons learned by the United States Special Operations community during the global war on terror to develop emergency planning and response tools for use domestically.
The company’s signature offering, Collaborative Response Graphics (CRG®), combines aerial imagery, architectural plans, and critical features into a simple visual map for first responders reacting to crises at schools, businesses, and critical infrastructure.
CRGs are uploaded to cloud-based servers, allowing first responders to track each other in real time on their smart device in order to coordinate response to emergencies.
We are actively seeking art students with a focus in graphic design or interactive multimedia students who are interested in using their talents to improve public safety. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply as well. Cartographers will use graphic design software and geo-spatial programs to build and design state-of-the-art maps for first responders. CRG offers flexible working hours for competitive hourly rate or academic internship credit. CRG offers a convenient location only six minutes from The College of New Jersey.
If interested, please contact Alex Carney, CRG’s Director of Product Implementation, at acarney@crgplans.com. Due to the sensitive nature of the product, applicants must be able to pass a basic background check.
