TCNJ will be participating in the 2018 Global Game Jam on Friday, January 26 – Sunday, January 28 in the Art and Interactive Multimedia building. IMM Professor Josh Fishburn is organizing the TCNJ Jam Site, but participation is open to anyone 18 and older, at any skill level. All you need is an interest in contributing to creating a game. It can even be a non-digital (board, card, etc.) game!
The Global Game Jam is a 48-hour challenge to make a new game, held in over 90 countries, hundreds of cities, and with one shared theme revealed at the beginning of the event. For more information, please see the TCNJ GGJ FAQ page, and click here to register!
And if you’re wondering why you should spend a whole weekend on this, take a look at the amazing work created over the past two years (2016, 2017) at TCNJ’s Global Game Jam. Professional game developers do it, you get a great learning experience, you’ll meet new people, and you’ll have a game published on the Global Game Jam website that you might want to put in your portfolio. Also it’s really fun!
