Position Summary
The Content Developer/Writer is part of the Marketing and Communications team at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and will help identify, research and write timely and impactful stories and Profiles that advance the website’s value as a School marketing vehicle aligned with Tandon’s brand messaging and strategic goals. Write and edit web copy for strategically important sections of the website and collaborate with other departments and offices on development of their web pages; bring consistency to how information is presented across the site; optimize content to improve accessibility, search rankings and traffic volume. Analyze data and generate reports on selected content changes and additions using web analytic programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, the liberal arts, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years Professional work experience writing and editing web copy and news stories from a user-oriented perspective. Experience using web content management systems and standard office software.
Preferred Experience:
Work experience in higher education or non-profit marketing/communications. Experience with marketing/ad campaign writing as well as video script writing, is a plus.
