McCann Echo Internship Program 2019

McCann Echo is looking for Summer Interns! The McCann Echo Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students entering their senior year of college, or recent 2019 grads, with an opportunity to learn about various disciplines within the healthcare advertising industry.

 

Based in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, our 8-week, paid internship program runs from Wednesday, June 5, 2019 to Friday, August 2, 2019. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm

 

Program Criteria:

– Must be entering your senior year in the Fall of 2019 OR be a recent undergrad graduate (within 1 year of graduation date)

– Major should be relevant/applicable to advertising/marketing industry

– Prior work or internship experience is preferred

– Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

– Portfolio or sample work is required for Graphic Design internship applicants

– Must be able to independently secure housing for the duration of the internship. Housing and/or housing subsidy is not provided by McCann Echo.

– Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Internships are available in the following disciplines:

 

Account Services:
From the time a client initiates a request from the ad agency up until the advertising campaign is live, Account Services facilitates the exchange of information between the agency and the client. They manage the day-to-day administration of the client account, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with the client and the internal agency teams.

 

Graphic Design:
Graphic Designers utilize their creativity and knowledge of computer graphics programs and softwares, e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc., to execute visual concepts for advertising campaigns. Graphic Designers work closely with Art Directors and Copywriters to develop promotional content for both print and interactive campaigns, including infographics, chart designs and logos.

 

Copywriting:
Copywriters partner with Art Directors in the creation and development of creative ideas, with a specific focus on writing promotional content for everything from print ads and direct marketing brochures, to mobile applications and websites. Our copywriters are also responsible for analyzing market research & scientific data to create persuasive, engaging copy that addresses the client needs.

 

 

Human Resources:
HR interns will assist with day to day employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, time off, and more. Using analytics to understand employee population statics and trends will be expected. Assisting with agency and network initiatives such as the employee recognition program, social responsibility efforts and mentorship programs will be a part of the experience. We are looking for an intern that will be able to help and learn how to audit employee files in accordance with local and state guidelines as well as I-9 forms in accordance with USCIS guidelines.

 

Strategic Planning:
Strategic Planners conduct focus groups and analyze market research in order to develop key strategic insights which inform the development of advertising campaigns. They help to ensure the creative work follows the client brief, keeping the campaign on strategy. Strategic Planners work closely with the client to help them understand their business objectives and formulate their brand communications strategy.

 

Project Coordination:
Project Coordinators are responsible for getting each and every job through the various stages of the process within a set timeframe and budget. They work with account services, creative, and production to ensure that work flows through the agency smoothly, anticipating and solving problems within the process that may negatively impact project deadlines, budgets, and ultimately, the agency & client relationship.
